Sterling Park Properties – Building with Heart

At Sterling Park Properties, we are proud to partner with the non-profit Hi-Hope Service Centers in Georgia. Hi-Hope provides residential homes for adults living with physical and intellectual challenges, creating spaces where residents can lead meaningful lives with the support of nursing staff always on hand. These homes are havens of comfort and independence, beautifully decorated to foster a sense of belonging.

However, like all homes, periodic updates are necessary to maintain their quality and functionality. That's where Sterling Park Properties stepped in, bringing our expertise to refresh and rejuvenate several Hi-Hope houses. From installing new roofs to replacing windows, building out decks, installing ramps, and constructing retaining walls, we've tackled a variety of tasks to ensure these homes remain safe and welcoming.

One of our standout projects was at the Oak House location, where we built a new deck to enhance the outdoor experience for the residents. There's something uplifting about soaking up the sun, listening to birdsong, and sharing moments with friends outdoors. We're thrilled to have played a role in creating such an environment for the Oak House community.

The new deck spans 12 x 18 feet, providing ample space for residents to enjoy outdoor activities. It was designed with wheelchair accessibility in mind, ensuring a seamless transition from the interior to the garden. We designed and constructed a ramp in compliance with ADA guidelines, removing the two old ramps and side rails.

The new ramps, measuring 8 feet in length and 4 feet in width, were built with high-quality, durable wood and include sturdy side rails for safety and support.

To further enhance accessibility, we installed a new 36-inch ADA-compliant door and frame. This new entryway ensures smooth wheelchair access to the deck while meeting all ADA standards.

We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to Hi-Hope's incredible mission and look forward to more collaborations that make a real difference in our community.
